Fortune Rookie have made it to the final of the 2007’s EDP Next Big Thing (IV). Fortune Rookie welcome to come and show your support at the final on Sunday 18th November at the UEA Norwich where they will battle it out with the other 7 finalists. Too many bands at present change what they do and their sound each year to hop on the bandwagon of whatever is current. ‘Hard Rockers’ Fortune Rookie have always believed in their music and stuck to what they do and not changed their sound to suit the current music trends. The current music climate is full of far too many ‘Hoxton Heroes’ and ‘Indie Cindy’s’ these bands all sound the same and cannot find their own voice as they are constantly trying to be like someone else. Fortune Rookie know now is their time to impress and want to make a big impression and believe they have something different to offer with the distinct vocals of Royst and the powerful emotive modern rock sound at their disposal. With the breakthrough to the major label of Biffy Clyro, Fortune Rookie know the market is still there for what they can deliver and wish to follow suit with the release of their debut album in 2008. Fortune Rookie’s debut album has been completed at the Animal Farm, Atomic Studios, London. The band would like to thank Ville and Matt (formerly the Snowdogs on Victory Records) for their hard work over the week engineering, producing and mixing the tracks. The album is now being mastered and set for release during the first quarter of 2008. Fortune Rookie hope 2008 will se the band make their mark………………. |
